Personal Statement

Since receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts I have been driven to support artists and their place in society. I have over 20 years experience providing the best experiences for artists and communities through working in galleries, local authorities and national art charities. I am a natural problem solver and provide positive outcomes that inspire motivate and are strategically aligning with the needs of the sector. Three main areas I focus my professional career on: commercial sustainability of creative businesses through training and networking events; enabling artists to grow in confidence, take risks and thrive through coaching, CPD and creative development and instigating quality public interventions through experiential engagement, exhibitions and events.
I count my greatest achievements the successful planning, organisation, and programme management within complex and stimulating arts organisations. My consistent track record of and commitment to providing opportunities and support for artists has been showcased by all my jobs.
I have the ability to manage a large team, and I pride myself of testimony of my management and leadership capabilities with positive feedback from my teams, colleagues and peers through all of my career on being energetic, creative thinker that is patient and supportive. Through my generous mind set, my mission is to empower people to be the best they can be; take risks and thrive through confidence of their own creativity; share their learning and experience to ensure the security and importance of arts in our education and national agenda.
